Why was my return rejected
If your tax return acknowledgement status shows a Reject, you can find the IRS/Government Agency rejection code, reason, and help message on the Return Summary page and/or the Navigation page under Status Report.
The Navigation Page will display the rejection code, reason, and help message along with the link(s) to the page to fix your rejection.

What to do if you are getting Reject Code: IND-031
IRS reject code IND-031 means your Prior Year AGI or IP PIN doesn't match IRS records. Fix by going to the eSignature page and updating the Prior Year AGI or IP PIN. If the correct amount keeps getting rejected, try entering $0 for Prior Year AGI and leaving the PIN blank.
What to do if you are getting Reject Code: F8962-070
IRS reject code F8962-070 means your return is missing Form 8962 (Premium Tax Credit). The IRS believes you received Form 1095-A for marketplace health insurance. Fix by going to Health Insurance & Misc, selecting Yes to Exchange Provided Health Insurance, and completing Form 8962.
What to do if you are getting Reject Code: IND-452
This means that the IRS records indicate that a return has already been created and submitted with that SSN for the same tax year. If the information is correct and you do not believe a tax return was filed elsewhere, the return will need to be paper filed and we suggest contacting the IRS.
