Why is my return pending
Your return has not been acknowledged by the IRS and/or state yet. Once your return is acknowledged, you should get an email from us suggesting that you check your account. When a return is e-filed, it is postmarked with the time and date the submission was made, similar to how it would be postmarked on a paper filing.
Depending on the time in the tax filing season, the IRS may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours to acknowledge tax returns. Once the IRS acknowledges the return and sends us the acknowledgement, we will send them an automated email to let you know the return has been acknowledged.
If they do not receive an acknowledgement within 3 days, send us a Secure Email with the subject line: Pending Return, so we can look into it. Please notify us as soon as possible following the 3rd day.
