How to set up direct deposit for my refund
If you are due a refund, you can choose to receive your refund via Direct Deposit on the Federal Tax Balance Settlement Page page for your federal return.
For the state specific you can choose to receive your refund via Direct Deposit / ACH Debit on the Selection Page.
- Enter your return, select Enter Refund Payment Details* found towards the bottom of the Return Summary page.
*This may also say From Bank Account, Paper Check refund to be mailed, or Direct Deposit
On the Federal Settlement Page or State Debit Selection Page, select Direct Deposit.
Add the required bank account information that you would like the refund to be deposited into under Account Details and Save the page
Please note that if you are filing an amendment that will include a refund, MyFreeTaxReturn.com only supports the Paper Check disbursement option. Direct Deposit disbursement cannot be requested at the time of filing an amendment.
